Care Guide:
- Avoid Moisture: Keep away from water, oil, and perfumes to preserve the fabric and zari threads.
- Dust Gently: Use a soft, dry cloth or a gentle brush to remove dust. Avoid rubbing the brocade to prevent snagging.
- Storage: Store in a dry place, wrapped in soft cotton or muslin to avoid discoloration and to protect embellishments. Avoid folding the crown sharply to preserve its shape.
- No Harsh Chemicals: Do not use bleach or stain removers. Spot clean only with dry cloth if needed.
- Keep Away from Heat: Avoid placing near direct sunlight or heat sources, as this can fade colors and damage the fabric’s luster.
- Occasional Airing: Air the crown occasionally in shade to keep it fresh, especially if stored long-term.
Divya's Styling Tip
Divya's Styling Tip
Pair the Brocade crown with a matching silk or Zari bordered vastram (Saree) to create a regal look. Choose complementary jewel tones—like deep maroon, royal blue, or emerald green—to highlight the richness of the brocade. For a complete alankaram, add temple-style jewelry like jhumkas, vanki (armbands), and a nose ring.
Place the crown slightly tilted back on the deity’s head to allow the detailing to show clearly, and surround the idol with fresh flowers like jasmine or roses to enhance the divine aura. Use warm lighting or a brass lamp nearby to bring out the sheen in the fabric.
