Dhruva Nandi
Dhruva Nandi
This piece from Ekam: The Collector’s Edition is a brass artifact aged over three decades, carrying the natural patina that develops with time. The surface shows authentic variations in tone, texture, and age marks that reflect its history.
To preserve this character, the piece is not polished or refinished. The natural patina and signs of aging are intentionally retained, making each piece unique and true to its heritage.
Dhruva Nandi, meaning “The Divine Splendor of the Sacred Bull,” represents unwavering Nandi, the revered vṛṣabha associated with Lord Shiva in temple tradition. Sculpted in a poised resting posture, the figure reflects calm strength, devotion, and unwavering guardianship—qualities that Nandi symbolizes in Shaivite iconography.
The sculpture is adorned with traditional ornamental detailing across the body and base, echoing the decorative styles seen in temple carvings. The raised platform further enhances its sculptural presence, giving the piece a dignified stance while highlighting the craftsmanship in the form.
Today, Vrishabha Divya Vilasam serves beautifully as a heritage accent in modern interiors—whether placed in a pooja setting, styled on a console, or displayed as a sculptural centerpiece that carries both cultural meaning and artistic character.
